The employer for the position is Arden Carrsulting INC and the worksite is Weed Elementary School. Wellness Coaches have the opportunity to work with students and parents who have experienced trauma and are working on managing strong emotions associated with that trauma. Sometimes they will act out with aggressive language and aggressive behaviors. When appropriate, you will back up and/or be willing to restrain a student who is an imminent danger to themselves or others. The Wellness Coach position is a servant role which means that at all times, and in every way, we work to directly support and coach students, teachers, administrators and parents of Weed Elementary. Wellness Coaches are expected to develop and implement social emotional wellness programs, games, and support strategies for students, parents, and staff. This position requires a combined use of training, education and experience. Communication skills, basic Microsoft office, spreadsheet, and Google Suite knowledge and acquired experience and education. Every coaching interaction must be driven by the coaching process as trained. Every coaching interaction will end with one student/parent action plan. Coaches are expected to document every coaching intervention. Coaches will be expected to work flexible hours over a non-traditional school calendar.
